She mothers the life out of Toga by offering to feed her, paint her nails, or take her on mini shopping sprees with her crappy paychecks. They have little girls nights with Magne, and sometimes Twice joins in for a romcom or two. Toga accidentally calls her mom ONCE, and the name never leaves after that.
She worries about her! She offers her blood to Toga as a disguise when the girl has to go to a public place alone. No one ever looks out for the quiet bartnender, and Petunia takes it upon herself to do that. They often drink tea together when the rest of the group is out on a mission, or gossip about the latest hero news.
Petunia had to grow up cooking most of the family meals herself, so she takes great pride in sharing recipes with Kurogiri or talking about new cuisine to try. Like Toga, Twice and Petunia love to spend time goofing off together.
Twice often joins Petunia in watching comedies, or Korean dramas. Twice had taken it upon himself to get the latest movie copies for the two of them to critique together. And oh boy do they not shut up during the movie. The two of them yell at the screen during the frustratingly obvious scenes on dramas or suspense thrillers. She often yells at him for smoking around Toga, or leaving his bottles everywhere for Kurogiri to always clean up.
Because boy is he shit at it. Penchi had taken a liking to Shigaraki immediately. After learning more in depth about his quirk, Petunia makes it her job to take care of him. She offers to make him food, or play Minecraft with him. Petunia loves to tease him, all in good fun of course. I mean, when you start your first verse — in the first 10 or so seconds of the track — with the most recognisable part of a very recognisable song, I think Ryan Tedder deserves at least some royalties. Masked Wolf is an Australian singer and this song is actually from June , just gaining enough traction, presumably off of TikTok, to debut on the charts this week.
The song got a reissue and I assume a remix and, well The Kid LAROI should not have been an entry point for Australian trap, because outside of a second or two of distortion in the intro, this is far from unique.
We have two songs from Dave Grohl and friends here from their latest album, Medicine at Midnight, technically three if we count the entire top , which means, yes, the UK just had a Foo Fighters album bomb. Dave Grohl wrote this song because he felt inspired by the current hell-scape of the political climate, reminding him of his own youth when he was surrounded by rising Cold War tensions.
His young daughter asked him if there was going to be a war and naturally this song came out of it, reflecting on the fears he and his daughter have and that everyone deserves a future and a lifetime not taken away from them by conflict and fear. When I first heard this track on the album, I genuinely grimaced at the vocoder-mumble that Grohl takes on against the scratchy acoustic guitars. The whole point of the instrumentation is that it builds tension with rising strings, multi-tracked acoustics and eventually some electric guitars and powerful drums, yet because of how slow-paced the song is, it fails to mirror the rising tension of the prospect of there being a war.
Sure, that could work as a way of saying that Grohl is just as uncertain and scared as his daughter is about political conflict, but that would imply this song gives off any further emotion than the fact the Foo Fighters felt the need to cut a vaguely political track out of necessity.
What the hell is Greg Kurstin doing here? This is the first track on the album and is supposed to make some kind of gripping impact but is instead just a snoozefest. Another week, another This is made for the clubs, but I feel like even regular club-goers would tire of this vocaloid drop and cloudy production two minutes in. Well, yes Cardi brings some necessary energy from the brilliant opening lyrics and continues with a fast-paced, chanting flow that accentuates some of her funnier lyrics with her charisma that she always brings to a trap track like this.
A1 x J1 are a British rap duo with no other songs. Now for a rap duo that makes more sense to debut this high and are actually, you know, separately successful rappers, therefore they debut in the top five, which is impressive. Summary: Thomas finds Virgil a game called Stardew Valley to try and ease his anxiety. Warnings: Sympathetic Deceit, sympathetic Remus, cursing, food mention, mention of a goose with a knife and death no one dies. I realized how much the sides would actually enjoy the game and so this came about So yeah, enjoy! Thomas groaned as he yanked the pillow out from under him and smushed it against his face, trying to stop the anxious thoughts. So, Thomas took a seat at his laptop, wondering what he could do to help calm Virgil.
Thomas may have needed a nap, but Virgil needed help first. Thomas messaged a couple of his friends, asking for something to help his anxious side relax.
As he was about to start Googling ideas, a final message arrived, suggesting that he play a calming game, with a couple of suggestions: Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, or phone games with the word idle in them. With that, Thomas pulled up Animal Crossing. Of course, it being 60 bucks, that made that game a bit unreasonable for right now. He did scribble a note to himself to discuss including it in his budget with Logan as he now wanted to play it himself.
With that, he looked up Stardew Valley. It was much cheaper than Animal Crossing, so there was that. It looked to be some farming game. Virgil sat on the couch, trying to calm his head.
Too many things were stressing him out and even blasting his music— so loud that if he were a real human, his hearing would be gone within the hour—he still could hear his thoughts. Nothing was working and he knew that he was probably affecting Thomas, but that just added to his list of stuff.
A hand gently tapped his shoulder, jolting him off of the couch, teetering on a panic attack. Take a deep breath, Vee. Virgil accepted the laptop Thomas offered him, wondering what new horror was about to be added to his list. Virgil looked at his host in confusion, wondering what he was supposed to be panicking about regarding this.
Talyn recommended it to me and I thought you could use the distraction. I even saw that one of the NPCs smokes pot, another likes spooky places, and there are these little candy things that are excited if you give them an ear of corn so are essentially Patton.
I know you guys said that whatever I have on my laptop, you guys get on yours within the mindscape, so you should have it on yours. He went through the character design page and watched the scene with the grandfather. Then the game opened and he started figuring out how the game mechanics worked. Thomas smiled as he watched the anxious side plant some parsnips before heading into town to start meeting people.
Not even five minutes into the game, the host could feel the knot in his stomach vanish and he finally felt relaxed. Thomas laughed but watched the anxious side play for a it longer. He waited until the side was halfway through the month without another shoot of anxiety hitting him before deciding that he could go take his nap now.
Virgil waved him off, as he harvested parsnips from the little patch outside his cabin. You doing alright? Patton jumped into the seat next to his best friend. The game looked cute and Virgil seemed to have put a lot of work into his little farm already. Patton cuddled in close and watched.
The Flower Dance was his favorite part as Virgil moved into the first day of summer. Virgil frantically went around preparing his little farm for summer planting, finding that there was not enough time in the short days to accomplish everything he wanted to.
They glanced at each other, wondering what was going on, but also reminded of what they had been doing before popping up. Finally, the prince moved over and looked at the laptop. It was some computer game around farming? Virgil opened the social tab and looked through the list, seeing how many hearts he had with Marnie. Does that mean you can go woo some villagers? Then date and marry them. You can even have two children with them.
Patton started giggling as he jumped off the couch. Come on, you two! Virgil rolled his eyes as Pat and the twins vanished back into the mindscape. He finished up his day before closing out of his farm and looking into the co-op option.
He slowly figured out how to set it up and had just opened the new farm when the three of them returned with their laptops. It took Virgil a little investing to figure out how to share it with the others but it worked out and soon they had their first crop planted.
Not even three days into the game, Roman had announced his intentions of wooing Elliot, who he insisted was the most romantic NPC. Remus liked pulling trash out of their little ponds and gifting it to everyone.
Patton was talking to everyone and just enjoying the game. Virgil was happy that the planting and harvesting of crops was less stressful with extra help. It was too quiet. Logan liked the quiet, but it was also nerve-wracking. He knew the twins had been arguing pretty much all afternoon over Remus having released a goose into the Imagination and it had apparently chased Roman from one end to the other with a knife.
Something about some game. It was still too early in the afternoon for the twins to have stopped yelling at each other. Logan also knew that this was a bad day for Virgil, but he assumed that the anxious side fell asleep or something. Logan would deny the small shout and jumping as he spun to see Dee standing there, unamused.
He quickly recomposed himself and straightened his tie. No, I have not seen Remus. I have not seen anyone in the past couple of hours, in fact. I was reading in the commons. I eventually noticed that everything was too calm though and went to investigate. You are the first side I have seen since. Dee raised an eyebrow. The hissing cat of a side would probably place himself where he could see Thomas if the anxiety from earlier was any indication. Roman was screeching at his twin about something with hitting someone with a slingshot.
Thomas woke up groaning as light hit him. Blearily he glanced at the time, surprised to see that what was supposed to be a short nap turned into a full night of sleep plus some. He ran a hand through his hair, knowing that he was in for a long lecture from Logan about sleeping for 16 hours.
He got out of bed and got ready for the day, unnaturally so calm that it mildly worried him. He finally started downstairs before the voices in the living room alerted him to the fact his sides were all present. Thomas peeked around the wall, to see all his sides sitting around the living room on their laptops. It took a moment before Thomas realized what was going on, but he chuckled to himself when he did.
After taking a picture of the living room, Thomas continued downstairs as Logan stood up and went to the whiteboard. Thomas greeted the room. Logan was the only one to glance over to the host. Everyone else kept their eyes focused on the game, though they all muttered a greeting back. Thomas went into the kitchen to make some breakfast. He decided on some eggs and toast.
Easy, no real thought process. He opened the fridge and pulled out the egg carton. The host marched into the living room and over to his anxious side. Virgil glanced up and noticed his host and the egg. Just be careful not to close the command prompt. It will shut the game down. We had to add mods to play with everyone. Thomas looked around at his living room full of sides, peacefully—or well as peacefully as he could ever hope— playing the game.
Sure, the twins were bickering, but that was more of their sibling relationship than actual anger this time. Real issue would be who you plan on dating. Factoring in his preferences though, he is most likely to pursue Sam or Sebastian. Just let me get some breakfast. I will factor your playing into our assignments. He went back into the kitchen to make something to eat, occasionally peeking into the living room as he heard Dee try and convince Logan to give him a certain crop while the logical side rearranged the work. Inexpressive and deadpan most of the time unless angered—which is hard to do. Most of the time he just sleeps or reads unless Floyd, Azul, or Jade drag him out to do activities. Which makes Azul flustered and manages to crack a rare smile in Morgan. Who am I kidding, if you get him drunk which is not legal but… he gets happy, chipper, and dies of an asthma attack!
Not sure yet but I know his family is moderately wealthy. They used to be much more wealthy but one of their manors caught on fire on land manor because they are whales and that led to debts and Morgan having breathing problems from smoke inhalation on top of his asthma.
How they started dating is a sort of strange story. Morgan in his 2nd year used to be the Dorm leader but when Azul came he struck a bargain with him. Right after agreeing to the bet Morgan pressed Azul against a wall, kissed him, and left. They get into arguments on who has the better man though. Vil Schoenheit- Morgan has really soft, long hair so Vil enjoys brushing it and stylizing it during class times since Morgan sits in front of him in some classes they have together.
Vil also likes to do his makeup and sometimes after the little makeup and hair sessions people confuse him for a girl. He does not like being close to fire. Is fire.
Ashton keeps him fit and gives him breathing exercises and lets him go swim for the time the class in on the brooms. I twisted him from Monstro the Whale and put him in the Octavinelle house because the teachers probably were all in houses once Divus- Pomefiore, Sam- Maybe Octavinelle since contracts, etc. For some strange reason, he likes standing in the rain. This episode starts out where the last one left off, with lunch ending and the students heading towards gym class.
Have I gotten to worked up about a small anachronism in a Minecraft roleplaying series? Yes, most likely. Moving on from my geography rant, we meet Salex, someone who starts flirting with Taurtis the instant she lays eyes on him. A fact when Taurtis asks Sookie if she and Sam are dating, and she honestly just seems confused, along with saying Invader can have him when she threatens to fight her over who can have Sam.
Sam punches Invader at one point and Rowan fucking decks Sam because he will not stand for abuse. Taurtis and Sam then go to do hopscotch, but not before Taurtis gets himself stuck in a soccer net and get punched out of it by Rowan. Sam then proves to be unexpectedly good at hop scotch, skipping 8 blocks, with the help of being punched.
After some more hopscotch related shenanigans we see J stuck at the top of a tower of sand, and Sam punching the sand to get him down. After this Sam and Taurtis discuss ideas for movies to see on their double date, eventually settling on Bee Movie, with Sam stating that he hates Paul Blart Mall Cop, and Rowan states that he loves Bee Movie and that he will go along with the kids.
After this Sam comes up with the idea for the scam of the century, where he and Taurtis race, and everyone bets on Taurtis and then Taurtis wins and they split the money. Their words not mine. Then the proper betting on the Sam Vs. Taurtis race commences, with sam taking the bet money, and then a rain storm starts, and Sam pockets the betting money, cancelling the race due to rain, saying that it will happen tomorrow.
Will it happen? Probably not, Sam likely hustled the whole school. On the way we see teacher Gareth sitting in the middle of the road, can someone like, check on him? We then see Rowan staring at the manga club from across the street in his apartment. Invader says that HunterXHunter is her favorite mango. ChanYandere does not seem impressed by this. Taurtis and Sam notice Rowan still watching them from his balcony, and tell him to stop staring at them and to watch his TV. Sam says they should sneak over there to watch it, and when questioned by Taurtis, asking that he thought Sam hated Paul Blart, he responds that he likes sneaking around and doing illegal stuff.

Trans rights- With people like Caitlyn Jenner and Leelah Alcorn, Transgenderism has arrived into the forefront of social issues, though it remains a strongly divisive issue throughout the decade. Overwatch- An interesting game that offered a unique personality to the shooter genre in a decade oversaturated with annual Call of Duty releases. Cuphead- A challenging run-and-gun platformer with a Golden-Age animation-style, showcasing what can be made through video games these days.
Steven Universe- A much-loved show that offered many unique and progressive themes, which I can admire despite my mixed feeling for the show itself. Political correctness is a somewhat-trend that is better off staying in this decade. He lost in the end, but it was fun while it lasted. Tyler, the Creator- Offering a unique sound among waves of forgettable Pop music, Tyler evolved from an edgy but somewhat humorous rapper, to an interesting and poignant singer in this past decade, achieving near-mainstream success.
Death Grips- Unlike anything that has ever been popular among general audiences, the exciting tunes concocted by MC Ride and Zach Hill have remained in the minds of many younger and more alternative individuals. The Presidential Election Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump - A time many can regard as the branching-off point between the first and second halves of the decade, as the extremes of both sides were exposed to the world with astonishing results. Vine- A social media platform that has since disappeared off the face of the Earth, but brought about many notable celebrities and memes that are often remembered by younger generations.
Social media- It already played a massive role from the mids-onwards, but now, the scale of social media has grown exponentially, with people moving away from mainstream news and entertainment and instead choosing to get their kicks on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
This focus on gaining the news from social media has held some negative consequences as fake news continues to fool gullible Boomers. Adventure Time- A rather interesting cartoon that started off as a fun show to get high to, but evolved into a gripping epic with an expansive lore and interesting world. But, with the Tory majority in Parliament, as depressing as that sounds, it seems possible that we can finally move on as a country to more important matters. Vaping Juul-smoking mouth - Recovered chain-smokers and rebellious teens have made this trend a popular pastime, though its popularity has waned recently over health concerns.

As for my personal experiences of this decade, I can say that, whilst I was born in the earlys, I was definitely raised in the s. Since then, though I have gained many impactful memories from these past few years. Some good, some bad, some great, all of which were a part of growing up.
